Winter files for Dist. 88 re-election

NEW ULM — Duane Winter filed on Monday for re-election to the District 88 School Board, setting up a four-way race for the three open positions on the board. Filing for school board has now closed.

Winter has served on the school board since 2007, the longest serving member by four years of the current board members. He has been the board chairman for several years.

Other candidates who have filed are Steven Gag, the current board clerk, who has served since 2011; Melissa Sunderman, who has served on the board since 2015, and Amanda Groebner.

With four candidates, the top three vote-getters in the November election will be elected to the board.
