River Congress May 17 in Mankato

MANKATO — The 10th Minnesota River Congress is scheduled for Thursday, May 17 at the Kato Ballrooom in Mankato.

All citizens are invited and welcome to participate in discussion about the Minnesota River System. The Congress will present the full scope of the Minnesota River natural resource corridor.

It will also explore several significant things which have been accomplished, recommended actions to improve conditions, and clarify how people can help. As with all sessions there will be a networking fair from 4-6 p.m. where individuals and organizations can catch up on projects, share ideas and discuss future collaborations.

Those interested in participating with hosting a table to represent their organization can contact Scott Sparlin, Congress Coordinator, sesparlin@gmail.com.

Following the networking fair there will be a break for dinner and kick-off for the formal Congress Meeting at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about the resolutions (https://www.mnrivercongress.org/resolutions-1) and area interest network teams (https://www.mnrivercongress.org/network-teams).

Presentations describing the Minnesota River Basin legacy and progress will be given by Chris Lenhart, Jay Gustafson, Ron Bolduan, Scott Kudelka and Ann Lewandowski. Throughout the evening there will be games, raffle, food and refreshments.
