River Bend students get awards
River Bend Education District students competed in the Minnesota Association for Alternative Programming (MAAPS) Success, Teamwork, Achievement, Recognition and Self-esteem (STARS) Spring Conference last month, taking home a number of prizes. The district took third in a team trivia competition called LifeSmarts. Katelyn Sarkar took second in public speaking, and the team took home two top-eight plaques. Overall River Bend earned 14 goold places, 5 silver and 4 bronze in the competitions.
