‘Swan Lake’ coming to State Street Theater

NEW ULM — The world’s most beloved fairytale ballet, “Swan Lake”, comes to the State Street Theater Company’s stage for the first time! Performed by the Mankato Ballet Company and set to the music of Tchaikovsky, this timeless love story mixes magic, tragedy and romance.

The four act performance features a company of over 40 dancers and will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6. This production has been choreographed and staged by Mankato Ballet Company’s Artistic Director, Eryn Michlitsch and Ballet Master, Riley Thomas Weber.

Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 & under. Admission at the door is $15 for adults; children 12 and under $10.

The Mankato Ballet Company’s production of “Swan Lake” is brought to New Ulm by the State Street Theater Company and made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Additional funding has been received by the Minnesota State Arts Board, KTOE Radio, KDOG 96.7, KXAC 100.5, Scheels, and Madelia Optometric.
