St. Peter Police arrest robbery suspect

ST. PETER — St. Peter Police received a robbery call at the Quick Mart convenience store and gas station at Minnesota Avenue and Pine Street at 12:58 a.m. Monday.

A man wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt entered the business and demanded money from a store employee. At about 1:04 a.m., police saw two males near where the robbery took place. Police saw one of the men shed clothing he was wearing.

Police ordered both suspects to the ground at gun point. Backup officers handcuffed both suspects and detained them without incident. A handgun and clothing were found near the suspects.

The suspects, Lucas W. Mason, 19, Waseca, is being held in the Nicollet County Jail pending formal first-degree aggravated robbery charges. Yaasi L. Lambert, 18, St. Peter, was released pending further investigation.
