SE City Council to consider hiking lodging tax

SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye City Council will consider amending the City of Sleepy Eye lodging tax from three to five percent at their Tuesday, Jan. 10 meeting.

New hotel owners recommend hiking the lodging tax. A new ordinance or ordinance amendment will be needed to change the tax, according to the city council meeting agenda.

Other city council agenda items include considering more possible Event Center expenses and additional packet #2 bids.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers.
