Employment Law update seminar to be held

NEW ULM – In response to the various new employment cases, legislation, and rules at the state and federal level in the past year, the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Employment Law Update Seminar on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

The seminar will be held at the New Ulm Community Center (600 N German Street, New Ulm) from 8 to 10 a.m. and is free of charge. It is co-sponsored by the MN Workforce Center and the City of New Ulm.

The seminar will be presented by Cory Genelin, a partner in the firm of Gislason & Hunter, and will cover the most important new changes in legislation in the past year. Mr. Genelin will work backwards chronologically explaining the importance of each new development and taking time to answer questions and welcomes comments and interaction from the audience. Cory Genelin is the Chair of Gislason & Hunter’s Employment, Labor, and Benefits Practice Group. He is currently the Legislative Chair of the Southern Minnesota Area Human Resources Association (SMAHRA).
