Chapter 8 Public Pro-

tection, Section 8.7

subdivision 4 Fence

Requirements, of the

New Ulm City Code,

creating exceptions to

the existing require-

ment that all private

residential swimming

pools be enclosed with

a fence. The Ordi-

nance creates two ex-

ceptions, one for

in-ground private

residential swimming

pools with an automat-

ic cover in working

condition, and the

second for above

ground residential

swimming pools with

non-climbable

sidewalls or other bar-

riers of 60 inches or

more.

2024-080 also amends

Chapter 11 Building

Codes and Permits,

Section 11.3, Building

permits required, of the

New Ulm City Code,

defining the term

demolish any building

or structure, and estab-

lishing certain required

conditions when ob-

taining a permit to
