Sealed bids may be delivered to the Office of the Finance Director, Municipal Building, located at 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073 prior to the 10:00 A.M. bid openingon WEDNESDAY, the 31st day of MARCH, 2021. The City will publicly open and read all bids received by the Finance Director immediately thereafter for the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, materials and every other article or thing necessary for the complete construction of the following improvement, to-wit:

2021 Utility, Street and Alley Improvements – Group I

Work includes improvements to municipal utilities, streets, alleys, and sidewalks at various locations within the City limits of New Ulm, Minnesota.

All bids must be sealed and marked “2021 Utility, Street and Alley Improvements – Group I” and each and every proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified checkfor not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid, payable to the City, to be forfeited to the City in case the successful bidder fails to enter into contract and to furnish satisfactory bond within ten (10) days after acceptance of such bid. The bid will remain subject to acceptance for 45 days after the day of bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer are on file and may be examined at the City Engineer’s Office. Complete digital project plans and specifications are available at www.newulmmn.gov or www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $30.00 by inputting Quest project #7458112 on the website’s Project Search page. Please contact QuestCDN.com at 952-233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with this digital project information. An optional paper set of the plans and specifications may be obtained at the Office of the City Engineer, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073. A non-refundable payment of $100.00, which includes applicable sales tax and shipping, will be required for each paper set of plans and specifications issued.

Approximate quantities of work include: 4,005 LF Water Main; 3,331 LF Sanitary Sewer Main; 103 LF Sanitary Sewer Manhole Structures; 103 Water End Services; 107 Sanitary Sewer End Services; 5,618 LF Curb & Gutter Removals; 7,016 CY Common Excavation; 16,425 TONS Aggregate Base; 3,985 TONS Bituminous Pavement; 6,577 LF Subdrain Tubing; 1,775 LF RCP Storm Sewer Piping; 70 LF Storm Sewer Manhole Structures; 142 LF Storm Sewer Catch Basin Structures; 77 Manhole & Catch Basin Castings; 19,601 SF 4” Concrete Sidewalk; 5,139 SF 6″ Concrete Sidewalk; 7,009 LF V624 Curb & Gutter; 296 SY 7″ Concrete Driveway Pavement; 8,023 SY Sodding; 3 Street Lighting Systems; 710 LF Pavement Markings; and 18 Tree Plantings.

Rubie, whose address is 60802 Fort Rd, New Ulm, MN 56073, as personal representative of the Estate of the above-named decedent in an unsupervised administration.

Any objections to the petition must be raised at the hearing or filed with the Court prior to the hearing. You will need to pay a filing fee when you file the objection. If you cannot afford the fee, you may request or download a fee waiver (http://mncourts.gov/GetForms.aspx?c=19&p=69). If the petition is proper and no objections are filed or raised, the personal representative will be appointed with the full power to administer the Estate, including the power to collect all assets; pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses; to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate.

Notice is also given that, subject to Minn. Stat. 524.3-801, all creditors having claims against the decedent’s Estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court within four (4) months after the date of this notice or the claims will be barred.
