NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLISH IN LEGAL SECTION, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2019

WHEREAS, Scott Dreckman, on behalf of All-Stor Public Storage, has requested an amendment to the Park and Trails section of the City’s Comprehensive Plan to vacate an existing trail location and approve a new trail location in the area generally located north of Karl Drive and west of North Garden Street; and

WHEREAS, the New Ulm Planning Commission has initiated proceedings to amend Section 9.10. B-2 Service Business District of the City Code to allow residential land uses with conditions within this zoning district; and

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that these matters be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby notified of said hearings.

NEW ULM PUBLIC UTILITIES

FIRMENICH STEAM LINE UPGRADES

NEW ULM, MINNESOTA

Sealed Prime General Contract bids for New Ulm Public Utilities Firmenich Steam Line Upgrades will be received by the Owner at the office of the Owner, New Ulm Public Utilities, c/o Dan Pirsig, Utilities Engineer, 310 1ST North Street, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073 by mail or personal delivery until Tuesday, November 05, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at which date and time the bids will be opened and read aloud.

A prebid conference will be held Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Ulm Public Utilities Office, 310 1ST North Street, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073.

Project Scope: Steam line upgrades to replace existing 4” sections with 6″ to support the expansion project at Firmenich. The work consists of modifications within two vaults, the section of pipe between the vaults, and section adjacent to the Firmenich building. Some work is required in the basement of Firmenich as part of this project.

The steam outages to Firmenich shall be minimized and coordinated with New Ulm Public Utilities and Firmenich.

See project documents for other related Work indicated in the drawings and specifications.

Bidders shall submit their proposal on the forms provided. Proposal shall be filled in clearly and correctly with ink or other permanent format. Proposal shall be signed in ink by the individual, members of the partnership, or by one or more officers of the corporation making the proposal.

All bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope upon which shall be plainly marked “BID ON NEW ULM PUBLIC UTILITIES – FIRMENICH STEAM LINE UPGRADES – NEW ULM, MINNESOTA” and the name of the bidder. If a bid is to be mailed, the bid envelope shall be sealed in a regular mailing envelope. FAX and E-mail Bids will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to hold and consider the bids for 30 days after the date of the bid opening. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check, bidder’s bond, or certified check payable to NEW ULM PUBLIC UTILITIES for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid including add-alternates. A bidder’s bond shall include certified copy of the power of attorney.

The right to waive any informality in any bid and reject any or all bids is reserved to the Owner.

NOTICE AND ORDER OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR PROBATE OF WILL AND APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

It is Ordered and Notice is given that on November 25, 2019 at 9:00 AM, a hearing will be held in this Court at 14 S. State Street, New Ulm, Minnesota, for the formal probate of an instrument purporting to be the Will of the Decedent dated, July 17, 2018, (“Will”), and for the appointment of Rita M. Walters, whose address is 1520 Elmwood Ave., New Ulm, MN, 56073 as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an UNSUPERVISED administration. Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper and if no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate.

Notice is also given that (subject to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.
