South Booster Station Rehabilitation Project

Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City Clerk until 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2019, at the City of New Ulm, City Hall Council Chambers at 100 North Broadway in New Ulm, Minnesota, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the rehabilitation work at the South Booster Station. Major components of the Work include:

1. Furnish and install replacement booster pumps and new electrical drive equipment (VFDs) at the existing South Booster Station.

a. Booster Pumps 1 & 2 Horizontal, Split Case, 400gpm @ 103’TDH, 25HP, 1, 800rpm

b. Booster Pump 3, Horizontal Split case, 800gpm@106’TDH, 30HP, 1,800rpm

2. Replace pump discharge and intake piping for booster pumps and add/upgrade process equipment to City uniformity standards

a. Swing Check Valve (APCO).

b. Smooth nose sample tap.

c. Magnetic Flow Meter with I/O (Badger).

d. Digital pressure gauge with I/O (Rosemount).

e. Clean and paint process equipment and piping

Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) dated July 19, 2019.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3.

This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with State of Minnesota.
