NOTICE OF PUBLIC

HEARING

on

PROPOSED

PROPERTY TAX

ABATEMENT AND

BUSINESS SUBSIDY

NOTICE IS HEREBY

GIVEN, that the City

Council of the City of

New Ulm, Brown

County, Minnesota, will

conduct a Public Hear-

ing on Tuesday, July

16, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.

in the Council

Chambers located in

the New Ulm City Hall,

100 North Broadway,

New Ulm, Minnesota,

relating to the use of

property tax abatement

and the approval of a

business subsidy

agreement for the pur-

pose of funding

development costs for

the Careen, Inc. pro-

ject, pursuant to Min-

nesota Statutes, Sec-

tion 469.1813 to

469.1815, inclusive, as

amended, and Min-

nesota Statutes, Sec-

tion 116J.993 to

116J.995. The project

will produce twelve

new jobs.

The annual amount of

tax abatement shall not

exceed $17,814 per

year and will be provid-

ed over a period of up

to 20 years com-

mencing in the year

2022. The following

tax parcel is proposed

to be included in the

property tax abatement

area:

The proposed property

tax abatement project

has a street address of

15 Somsen Street and

is legally described as

Lot 2, 3 and 4, Block 2,

Airport Industrial Park.

Copies of the Abate-

ment Resolution and

Business Subsidy

Agreement proposed

for adoption will be on

file and available for

public inspection at the

Office of the City

Manager in the New

Ulm City Hall.

A person with

residence in, or the

owner of taxable pro-

perty in the City of New

Ulm may file a written

complaint with the City,

if the City fails to com-

ply with Sections

116J.993 to 116J.995

of Minnesota Statutes,

and no action may be

filed against the City

for the failure to comply

unless a written com-

plaint is filed.

All interested persons

in attendance will be

given an opportunity to

speak on this matter.

Written testimony may

also be submitted prior

to the meeting to:

will hold a Public Hear-

ing to consider the re-

quest of the Kraft

Heinz Foods Company

for a one year exten-

sion in the time period

provided to achieve the

stated job and wage

goals associated with

their Minnesota In-

vestment Fund (MIF)

program grant. The

program location is

2525 Bridge Street.

A Public Hearing on

this request is required

by Business Subsidy

requirements under

Minnesota Statutes,

Section 116J.993 to

116J.995. Information

concerning this request

is available at the City

Manager’s Office in

City Hall.

All interested parties

are invited to attend

the public hearing at

which time you will be

given the opportunity to

express comments on

this matter. Written
