Court Proceedings

Brown County District Court

• A gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation inimical to public safety charge was filed May 16 against Patrick J. Moses Jr., 21, 2412 N. Broadway, New Ulm. Court was set for 8:30 a.m. June 7.

According to court documents, New Ulm Police officer Tara Martin was on patrol, parked at 3rd South and Valley streets at 12:39 p.m. Jan. 27, 2021, when she recognized Moses driving a silver 2005 Buick Lacrosse in New Ulm. Two days earlier, she was advised by Brown County dispatch that Moses’ license status was cancelled inimical to public safety, and that he was driving the vehicle on that day.

Martin confirmed Moses’ driver’s license was cancelled through a police database. She stopped Moses and told him the stop was due to his diver’s license status. He did not deny his driver’s license status was cancelled according to the database.
