• Jesse L. Helget, 33, 810 Payne St. N., New Ulm, was convicted of gross misdemeanor 3rd-degree refusal to submit to chemical test and misdemeanor obstruction of legal process or arrest Jan. 21, 2022.
He was fined $1,010 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, stayed for 3 years supervised probation, credited with 6 days served. All fines can be worked off by STS hours if available. May do 9 days sentence to service in lieu of jail. Conditions include no use of alcohol and all other mood-altering chemicals unless prescribed by a physician, complete a chemical health assessment, pay fee, follow all recommendations, complete DWI Impact Panel, pay fee.
