• Bail was set at $10,000 cash, $100,000 bond Jan. 18, 2022 for Dean A. Pena II, 33, Winthrop on a charge alleging escape from custody.
• Unconditional bail was set at $10,000 cash/$100,000 bond for Steven J. Broin, 55, Green Isle for 5th-degree controlled substance possession. He may be released on his own recognizance, on conditions that he not use or possess alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances. A hearing was set for 1 p.m. Feb. 3, 2022.
• Jesus A. Velazquez, 44, Winthrop, admitted to violating probation terms. Probation was reinstated with the previous terms and conditions plus that he serve 60 days in the Sibley County Jail.
