Brown County
District Court
• Two counts of gross misdemeanor DWI, misdemeanor open bottle and petty misdemeanor unreasonable acceleration were filed Monday against Jaydin G. Kaczmarek, Hutchinson. Bail was set at $12,000 without conditions Tuesday. A court appearance was set for 8:30 a.m. Sept. 28.
According to court documents, New Ulm Police Cpl. Keith Anderson stopped at the four-way stop at 5th St. North and Garden St. at 10:20 p.m. Sept. 11 and heard squealing tires and white smoke from a white 2021 Dodge Ram pickup in a line of traffic.
Anderson did a traffic stop of the pickup and smelled a strong alcoholic beverage odor coming from inside the vehicle. Anderson noticed intoxication clues from the driver, Kaczmarek, who failed field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test sample read .19 and Kaczmarek was arrested for DWI. A breath test later read .21 grams per 210 liters of breath.
Kaczmarek was convicted of fourth-degree DWI in McLeod County on Oct. 18, 2020.
