• A felony charge of issuing a dishonored check was filed July 14 against Jeremy O. Estling, 39, Boyd. A first appearance was set for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 3.
According to court documents, Brown County Sehriff’s Office Investigator Deputy Eric Schwarzrock got a phone call from the Sleepy Eye Sales Barn manager on May 21 regarding a $3,437.65 check issued by Estling that was returned May 14 for insufficient funds.
Schwarzrock got copes of bank documents, notice, demand of payment and a certified mail receipt showing a June 8, 2021 delivery date signed by Estling. He was not provided the sales barn with any funds to cover the check.
