Brown County District Court
• Jeremy J. Wirkus, 20, 111 Franklin St. N., New Ulm, was charged with two counts of felony fifth-degree drug possession-not small amount of marijuana May 13. Unconditional bail was set at $5,000, no bail with conditions.
According to the complaint, Brown Lincoln Redwood Renville Drug Task Force agents Mullenbach and Wortham and New Ulm Police officers Hohensee, Moellenhoff, Rasche, and Fleck executed a search warrant for drugs at 111 Franklin St. N. at 8:30 a.m. May 12.
At 6:45 a.m., Agent Mullenbach began surveillance of the target residence. He noticed a USPS truck stop and a postal worker drop a box at the front door and leave.
Officers and agents walked to the front door at 8:30 a.m., a female opened the door and invited them in. Police and agents noticed Wirkus and a woman sleeping in a mattress on the floor. Wirkus said he had a small amount of marijuana and some THC vape oil cartridges.
In Wirkus’ bedroom, items found included a THC gummy that weighed 3.46 grams, 3.2 grams of marijuana including Ziploc baggie packaging, THC wax that weighed 2.55 grams in a container, 56.4 grams of Fruity Pebbles THC edible bar, 7 vape cartridges with trace to small amounts of THC oil, 6.07 and 1.5 grams of mushrooms in bags, 127 grams of marijuana including baggie, a plastic canister with a trace amount of THC wax, $503 in cash in small wallet belonging to a woman, $409 in cash in Wirkus’ wallet, paraphernalia including pipes, bongs, tubes and empty vape cartridges.
Items were photographed, destroyed, and photographed again. The USPS box the vacuum-sealed bag of marijuana arrived in was addressed to Wirkus at his residential address.
