Brown County District Court

• Two counts of gross misdemeanor second-degree DWI were filed against Kathryn M. Armstrong, 46, Fridley Monday, Sept. 28. According to court documents, New Ulm Police were parked north of 6th Street North at 10:05 p.m. Sept. 26 when their attention was drawn to a vehicle traveling south that stopped for a stop sign at 6th North and had registration that expired in April 2020.

Police stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver who said she forgot her shirt at Smiley’s Tavern and she displayed intoxication clues. She admitted drinking and was identified as Armstrong. She failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Armstrong provided a breath sample that showed an alcohol concentration of .16 grams per 210 liters of breath. Her driving record indicated a qualified prior impaired driving incident on Oct. 11, 2013.
