Court Proceedings

Brown County

District Court

• Rebecca M. Reinhart, 27, 2526 S. Bridge St., New Ulm, was charged with two counts of gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI Monday. According to court documents, New Ulm Police responded to a report at 11:44 p.m., March 14 of two cell phone hang-ups reporting a man acting aggressively with a woman at the B & L Bar, downtown New Ulm. The caller said the individuals got into a vehicle registered to Reinhart.

Police responded to Reinhart’s residence, located the suspect vehicle and saw it was occupied by Reinharts in the driver’s seat and a man in the passenger seat. The vehicle was not running but the keys were located inside it.

Reinhart admitted being in the area of the B&L. The man matched the description given by witnesses. Police detected the odor of alcohol and observed Reinhart has intoxication clues. She admitted she shouldn’t have been driving and admitted drinking fouir “Jacks” and driving from the bar to her residence. She failed certain field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test. A breath sample for analysis provided at 12:45 a.m. on March 15 showed an alcohol concentration of .17 grams per 210 liters of breath.
