• Gideon L. Turgeon Jr., 23, 107 Summit Avenue, Hanska, was charged with felony Harassment Restraining Order-violate within 10 years of first of two previous domestic violence convictions.

According to the complaint, New Ulm Police were dispatched to a New Ulm residence for an Harassment Restraining Order (HRO) violation on Sunday, July 7. The alleged victim she she has been receiving calls from Turgeon and her bedroom window screen was removed. She showed police her cell phone log and said she had 15 missing phone calls from Turgeon’s number that morning and that she did not attempt to make contact with Turgeon in any way. She said she got a new phone and number a week ago but Turgeon somehow found out what the new number was.

Turgeon was served with an HRO on July 2, 2019. Police viewed a hearing request completed by Turgeon who listed his phone number that was the same as identified by the alleged victim as belonging to him.

Turgeon’s criminal history showed a previous conviction for gross misdemeanor domestic assault on July 3, 2018 in Brown County Court and a guilty disposition for misdemeanor assault on Jan. 26, 2016 from Watertown, S.D.
