According to court documents, Sleepy Eye Police were on duty at 3:59 a.m. May 4 when they observed a vehicle make a wide right turn from Walnut St. S.E. onto 6th Avenue S.E., going south in the northbound lane, nearly hitting a curb, then corrected.
Police stopped the vehicle and Roberts got out of an SUV and began walking toward Meadowview Apartments. Roberts refused to walk to the squad car as directed until police grabbed both of her arms behind her back.

A Preliminary Breath Test registered a .223 breath alcohol concentration (BAC) at 4:13 a.m. Roberts was arrested and transported to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. She agreed to provide a breath test that read .20 at 4:58 a.m. She was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center due to her high intoxication level.
Roberts’ record revealed a prior DWI on Nov. 4, 2014.
