• Alejandro Guerra, 52, 221 Water St. S.W., Sleepy Eye, was charged with three felony issuance of dishonored check charges Monday.

According to court documents, New Ulm Police were given a report drafted by Coborn’s regarding a total of $4,158.92 in five payroll checks from a company called Bros2 Construction that were cashed at Cash Wise in New Ulm from May 2017 through September 2017 and returned with non-sufficient funds. Two people cashed the checks. They were identified as Guerra and Maria Linan.

It appears that Linan owned the business but on the checks, her last name was spelled Lynan. Police learned Guerra is the business manager.

Guerra was summoned to appear in court at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 16.
