• Kristine K. Hagberg, 52, 57421 350th St., Lafayette, was charged with gross misdemeanor financial transaction card fraud and misdemeanor theft Thursday. According to court documents, police were informed that a debit card wasapparently stolen from a resident at Ridgeway on German hon or about July 15. A representative said a charge of $154.40 was made on the card on or about July 16 at the Hy-Vee store in New Ulm and he talked to store management about it.

Hy-Vee store management located the charge on made on July 16 and the person who used the card also used a fuel saver card during the transaction. The fuel saver card came back to Kristin K. Hagberg. Still photos of the transaction provided by Hy-Vee showed the person who used the card in the transaction was a female and not the resident.

Police learned that Hagberg worked at Ridgeway on German and would have had contact wth the resident. The card was requested cancelles on July 19. Hagberg admitted to police that it was her in the photographs from Hy-Vee and admitted knowing the resident.
