• Justin S. Hoffmann, 35, 12032 110th Ave., Madelia, was charged with misdemeanor harassment-violate restraining order Monday. According to court documents, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by an alleged victim who wanted to report an Harassment Restraining Order (HRO) violation that happened at 3:14 p.m. Sept. 9. The victim was standing near the driveway of his residence when he observed a tan Chevy Blazer driven by Hoffmann, who drove by, within 60 yards of him, and he has an active HRO against him.

The deputy checked HRO paperwork and learned Hoffmann is prohibited from being within 100 yards of the victim’s residence. Going to the victim’s residence, it appeared CR 19 and 110th Avenue is within 100 yards of the victim’s residence. Hoffmann was arrested at about 4:15 p.m.
