New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 8:55 a.m. July 24 at Highway 14 and Garden Street. Daniel G. Kuebler, 47, Lake Crystal, was driving a 2020 Ford truck eastbound on Highway 14 in the outside lane, when he collided with Annemarie E. Halbur, 30, New Ulm, who was driving a 2017 Chevy Traverse southbound on Garden Street in the intersection. Damage was moderate to the front end of the truck and moderate, disabling to the passenger side wheel well area of the Chevy, causing it to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

• Cited a 51-year-old Fairfax man for theft of $24.50 worth of groceries at Walmart. A theft report was received at 1:26 p.m. July 23.

• Assisted Allina Ambulance for a call at Flandrau State Park at 3:26 p.m. July 22. A child was underwater for a short time but was pulled out of the water and revived.

• Responded to a call at the 1200 block, N. Broadway at 9:11 a.m. July 23. A child about three years old was found unattended outside. The child’s mother was contacted inside. She was not aware the child got outside. Police said the child was unharmed. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Took a stolen vehicle report about a 1999 Chevy Silverado taken in Evan July 8-13. The vehicle was later found, returned to the owner and did not appear to be damaged. A report was done for documentation.

• Stopped a vehicle at 19th St. N. and German St. at 9:36 p.m. July 21. The driver was cited for expired tabs and no insurance.

• Stopped a vehicle for no taillights at 4th St. N. and State St. at 11:52 p.m. July 21. A small amount of marijuana was found in the vehicle driven by a 41-year-old New Ulm man.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Took a burglary report at 1:11 p.m. Friday about several juveniles that entered Sleepy Eye Public School through an open back door. Police continue to investigate the incident and said suspects are on surveillance video.

• Responded to an injury crash at at Main Street East and 12th Ave. N.E. at 11:37 a.m. July 24. Three individuals, two adult Sleepy Eye woman and a juvenile female had minor to severe injuries. Two individuals were transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center by Sleepy Eye Ambulance. The other individual was taken to the medical center by a private party. Damage was severe to both vehicles.
