HRC seeks student commissioners

The New Ulm Human Rights Commission is seeking to fill two student commissioner seats.

The seats would be non-voting and filled by high school-age students. HRC is looking to fill a one- or two-year term with a current freshman, sophomore or junior, and a two-year term with a current freshman or sophomore.

The terms would begin and end in August. Applicants must be current residents of New Ulm. The deadline for submitting an application is May 31.

The HRC meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m. at City Hall.

HRC is seeking perspectives of the community’s young people and a closer relationship with the schools.
