The Nutcracker Returns to State Street Theater

Join the Mankato Ballet Company for opening weekend of “The Nutcracker” on Saturday, Dec. 7 at State Street Theater in New Ulm, for this family-friendly holiday tradition. “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” is a story written in 1816 in which a young girl’s favorite Christmas toy, the Nutcracker, comes alive and, after defeating the evil Mouse King in battle, whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls. Performances at State Street Theater will take place at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets for the performance are $20 adults, $15 students/seniors/military, and $12 for children ages 3-12 and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Hy-Vee, and online at statestreetnewulm.org.
