Registration for Spring/ Summer Activities is available online at www.newulmmn.gov or at the Rec Center.

Tot Swim is held the first and third Fridays of the month; the next one is April 19 from 9:30-11 a.m. This is an opportunity to Swim and play with your tot in the shallow part of the pool. Toys are provided and tot slide will be open. Whirlpool is closed during this time. Admission is $2.75/tot.

Pool Eggstravanganza for children Ages 6 and up (children 5 and under may participate with parent in the water) Friday, April 19 at the Rec Center’s Indoor Pool. Open swim offered from1-5 p.m. Egg hunt will start at 2:30 p.m. Children will be able to hunt for eggs all around the pool, depending on their swimming ability, in exchange for great prizes! Also look for a special appearance from the Aqua Bunny! Admission fee $6. Punch cards/memberships do not apply.

FREE Easter Egg Hunt for ages 1-7 at German Park Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. (Back up location for inclement weather is the Civic Center). Hunt for eggs, candy, meet your favorite characters and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny!

T Ball Changes: Minor T-Ball for 4-5 year-olds will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15-5 p.m. at Harman Park. Major T-Ball for 5-6 year-olds will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15-6 p.m. This was printed wrong in the PR brochure and we apologize for the confusion.

Arbor Day will be celebrated in German Park on Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. the Mayor, Public Library and Park and Rec., along with local students will listen to a proclamation, learn about trees and plant an actual tree in the park. Please note: this event may be canceled due to inclement weather.

Adult Co-Rec Sand Volleyball and Softball Registration is open to register your teams! Co-Rec softball will be held Wednesday evenings beginning May 8. Registration is $360 per team and is due by April 24. Co-Rec Sand Volleyball will play Thursday evenings beginning May 16. Fee is $100 (includes game ball) and is due by May 3.

Spring Flooding: Minnecon Park will remain closed indefinitely until repairs can be made to the entrance road. The Riverside Park water access is open, but may close in the future for flooding.  

Open Pickleball at Rec Center Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1-2:30 p.m. and the following dates: Saturdays, April 20 from 7:30-9 a.m. and April 27 from 9-10:30 a.m.,., Wednesday evenings, April 17 from 5-6:30 p.m. and April 24 from 5-6 p.m. Memberships, Punch cards, cards or Daily Admission apply. Outdoor pickleball courts will be open, provided the weather cooperates.

German Park Amphitheater is in great need of improvement! Fund raising for this project continues. Any size of donation is accepted and greatly appreciated for the community venue. Checks can be made to the City of New Ulm and mailed to the Park and Rec. Dept., 122 S. Garden Street, New Ulm.
