47th Polka Town Hog Show coming March 14 in New Ulm

NEW ULM — The 47th Annual Polka Town Market Hog Show will be held on Saturday, March 14, in the Youth Coliseum of the Brown County fairgrounds in New Ulm. This event is put on by the Brown County Pork Producers.

The show teaches showmanship, teamwork, and fellowship as well as competition. Weigh-in is from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the judging contest starts at 11 a.m. with awards to follow at 12:30 p.m. The judging contest is open to individual and teams in 4-H and FFA, as well as any adults wanting to participate.

The show will begins at 1 p.m. The show will start with market gilts, followed by showmanship, market barrow and overall champion and reserve market swine.

The public is invited to come watch the days activities.
