Here we are at the beginning of February and tax season is here. The library has resources to help you complete this yearly task! If you choose to file your taxes yourself, we have the 1040/1040SR forms and instructions in English and Spanish. The tax forms and instruction booklets are located in the hallway near the Children’s Room; you are welcome to come in and help yourself. If you need additional forms, stop at the Service Desk and we can print them out for you for $.25 per side (double sided forms are $.50). The Lunar New Year, as observed in East Asian cultures, occurs on the first day of the first lunar month, not on a calendar date. In 2025, it falls on January 29. It is celebrated in China, North Korea, South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and many other countries. City in NJ had a thriving glassmaking industry

What cities come to mind when you think of glassmaking? Venice, Italy? Waterford, Ireland? Sandwich, Massachusetts? How about Millville, New Jersey? Millville had a thriving glass industry by the 1860s. Many glassworkers were immigrants, familiar with techniques like lampworking and millefiori that had been practiced around the Mediterranean for hundreds of years. Wordless picture books are books without text that rely solely on the pictures to convey the story. They are often dismissed as being too easy for any age reader.
