New Ulm Turnverein Will Be Represented by Actives, Juniors and Possibly Young Ladies.

The 75th anniversary of the founding of the American Turnenbund, together with the 29th anniversary of the St. Paul Turnverein will be fittingly observed in connection with the first district assembly (Bezirks-Turntag) of the Minnesota Turnbezirk, at the St. Paul Armory, as well as at Turner hall, St. Paul, next Sunday, November 15.
Gymnastics and Games
The afternoon program will be presented at the St. Paul Armory, commencing promptly at 2:30 o’clock, and admission is free. It will consist of gymnastics and games participated in by various classes of the New Ulm Turnverein, the St. Anthony Turnverein, Minneapolis and the St. Paul Turnverein, under direction of Thomas Pfaender, physical training instructor of the New Ulm organization, and who is district physical director. Mr. Pfaender will be assisted by Otto Modler and A. F. Schintz, physical training instructors of the Minneapolis and St. Paul societies, respectively. The program numbers include marching and tactics; fundamental gymnastics; aesthetic dancing; apparatus work on parallel bars, side horse and long horse; sprinting; high jumping; games; exhibition numbers, and solo dances.
Supper and Dancing
The Ladies’ auxiliary of the St. Paul Turnverein will serve supper at the St. Paul Turner hall at 6 o’clock in the evening. This will be followed by an address and vaudeville numbers an hour later. The evening program will close with a social hop beginning at 8 o’clock.
New Ulm Representatives
The New Ulm Turnverein will be represented at the district assembly by the following:
Actives-Frank Schaefer, Guy C. Crane, Armin Scheman and Frank Niemann, Jr.
Juniors (Zoeglings)-Elmer Tomschin and Henry Herrian.
The Young Ladies’ class may also send a delegation.
