Crash landing

AN AIRPLANE from the New Ulm Spraying Service crash landed 7 a.m. Sunday while spraying 2-4-D on a cornfield on the Ralph Meyer farm. The pilot, Raymond Gieseke, was uninjured. The Meyer farm is located four miles east of Fort Ridgely. The plane struck a Brown County REA transmission line, knocking out power from near Fort Ridgely to west of Klossner. Highline cable was dragged a quarter mile. Linemen restored power at 11:15 a.m. the same morning. (Photo by Mrs. George Wiethoff) August 8, 1975 Brown County Journal
