FIREMEN COMING TO NEW ULM IN 1926

State Association.

Fred Pfaender of this city was elected president of the State Firemen’s Association at the annual convention held in Crosby last week. Eight hundred delegates attended the convention and one of the largest meetings ever held was concluded after a good deal of business had been transacted. The state convention will be held in New Ulm in 1926 when the local fire laddies will be hosts.
When the business meeting of the Jocal firemen is held the first Monday in July committees will be appointed who will have charge of the arrangements for the 1926 meeting.
Form Relief Ass’n
At the session held in the Crosby Armory, Mr. Pfaender was authorized to appoint a committee to plan a State Relief Association for firemen. This association will be organized to benefit the firemen who may be injured while working at a fire or in case of death will aid the family. This is most important action taken at the meeting altho other business matters were attended to.
Other Officers
Other Officers elected at the Crosby meeting are Joseph Randall, Duluth,first vice president; George Wessberg, Fergus Falls, second vice president;John A. Gross, Red Wing, secretary F. W. Harrison, Rush City, treasurer and W. H. Anderson, Mankato, statistician. Fergus Falls was chosen as the 1928 convention city.
