Lester and Leann Werner announce the engagement of their son, Jarod, to Carly Rothstein, daughter of Tom and Cathy Rothstein of St. Michael.

Carly is a grad of St. Michael-Albertville High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from University of Minnesota-Crookston. Carly is currently teaching 3rd grade in Belle Plaine, where she also coaches basketball and track.

Jarod is a graduate of Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in education from Minnesota State University-Mankato. Jarod is currently a 6th grade teacher in Belle Plaine, where he also coaches football, basketball, and baseball.

An August 27, 2016wedding is planned at St. Michael Catholic Church.
