Musk is no patriot or hero

To the editor: I’ve been thinking of the definition of a patriot and/or a hero. According to Webster a patriot is a person who loves their country and supports it. My addition even if means some loss for them. Hero: Person admired for their courage, outstanding qualities and achievements. Elon Musk has made billions off government contracts. Tried to cancel the Verizon so he could get a contract for his Starlink. He did not get paid per sa for DOGE but believe me he earned off that role. He did so much damage in such a short time which will take years to resolve. My heroes: Rosa ...

At a recent town hall Senator Ernst in a symbolic pair of red slacks tries to justify proposed cuts to Medicaid with this revelation: “We’re all going to die.” Thank you, Captain Obvious. (I’m glad she was prepared for the ...

To the editor: A new book by CNN’s Jake Tapper reveals, too little too late, that former President Joe Biden was kept away not only from the public eye, but also from White House staff as his mental acuities were diminishing rapidly in the final days, weeks, months of his Presidency. Outside of his poor debate performance, I never saw anything that would have alarmed me, and thanks to his having a resourceful and competent staff we never seemed to be in any imminent danger as a nation. Of course, the current President was always on his projection soap box in his attack of “Sleepy ...
