To the editor: I would like to offer my support and recommendation for Nicollet County Commissioner, District 5, in the upcoming election. Kurt Zins, will have my vote. I have known Kurt my entire life, and am confident that he will be productive, and responsible while making decisions in favor of stability, growth and forward thinking in what’s best for Nicollet County. It pulses with activity and life and exemplifies how working together as a team we can get tremendous things done. Agriculture is the foundation of this region, an economic driver and a way of life. Nicollet county commissioners election

To the editor: I would like to recommend reelecting John Luepke for Nicollet County Commissioner. We recently had a County Drainage Ditch project cross our property on Swan Lake. John made numerous visits to the site, and was very informative and helpful with the project planning. At the end we had some road damage and drainage issues. John was very persuasive at the meetings that these issues be corrected. We were very satisfied with the end results. I was very impressed with John’s interest, concern, and follow-up. To the Editor: The Guidelines as to governance responsibilities for the City of New Ulm state: “The Mayor serves as an ex-officio member of the City Council and enjoys the same rights and privileges of the Council except those of making motions, seconding motions, offering resolutions, seconding resolutions or voting thereon. He (sic) has the power to veto certain specific council actions.” Those same guidelines then go on to explain the responsibilities of the many functional commissions and boards of the City of New Ulm. To the editor: On Nov. 8, I would urge you to vote for John Luepke. John has spent his lifetime serving his church, family and area organizations. As a county commissioner he has the largest area to represent. He is always available to hear your concerns, and will always get you an answer. He makes sure he is informed on as many issues as possible, and votes the way he thinks the people he represents would want him to vote. He is fiscally responsible.
