To the editor: So they can’t take it anymore (1-27-2026)? The left is screaming as Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) descends upon Minneapolis and across our great state. None of this was necessary. Our Democrat “leaders” (Walz, Frey, Ellison, Klobuchar, and Craig) tried to defy President Trump and United States law by declaring the State of Minnesota and cities as “Sanctuary” for illegal immigrants. To the editor: In our state Legislature, the Democratic Party has been attempting to “codify abortion into our state Constitution”. They are attaching this to their equal rights amendment. How on earth can you call for an equal rights amendment which condones murdering a child, even up to the date of birth? What do you value?

To the editor: Do you value life? Is the First Amendment right to speak and assemble cherished by those you know? Is the right to bear arms as stated in the Second Amendment important to you? Regardless of politics, the vast majority of Americans value life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We also value the right to bear arms as established by law. Looks like Homeland Security cover-up

To the editor: Saturday. Jan. 24, the world watched videos of a gentleman get basically executed for helping a woman who had been pushed down by a federal officer in Minnesota. The woman spoke to the officer and then he shoved her down. Apparently what she said to him scared him so badly, he thought it was OK to use physical force on her. She’s lucky he didn’t shoot her. The gentleman who tried to help her get up was not so lucky.  The federal officer who had pushed her down, grabbed that gentleman, sprayed chemical agent in his face twice, and with other federal ...

To the editor: On Sunday I read an article in the Star Tribune about two women arrested and handcuffed in the back of a car. An ICE agent in the front seat of the vehicle had a seizure. As the man was losing consciousness, they asked to be freed of the handcuffs and administered life-saving first aid to the agent. Tippi Amundson, a kindergarten teacher with CPR training, held the agent’s head so body fluids would not collect in his throat and strangle him.
