Rotary trivia night

NEW ULM -- The New Ulm Rotary Club is hosting a Trivia Night on Friday, Oct 24, 2025, at the New Ulm Country Club. The funds raised will help support two Rotary youth projects. The first is the annual Ethics Workshop held yearly in October, with approximately 45-50 student participants. The second is the awarding of three $750 scholarships to a senior from each of our three high schools, New Ulm Public, New Ulm Cathedral and Minnesota Valley Lutheran. Notice of water main flushing

Wednesday, October 8, the water department will be flushing water mains on State Street. Flushing will be between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents should avoid laundering clothes when flushing is occurring in the neighborhood. It is advisable to allow about an hour after daily flushing for water to clear. Residents experience discoloration after flushing are advised to run water until it clears. If problems arise, call the Water Department at 359-8279 or after 3:30 p.m. call 359-8264.

United Way of the Brown County Area’s 28 annual Fall Days of Caring is scheduled for October 23 to October 25. This event offers a chance for community members to come together and make an impact in the lives of those in need. New Ulm Diabetes Walk Saturday

The 11th Annual New Ulm Diabetes Walk will take place at Flandrau State Park on Saturday, October 4. This is a Strides, Lions for Diabetes Awareness event and is a collaboration of the Lions Club of New Ulm and the Lafayette Area Lions Club. The walk is approximately a half mile long on Flandrau's trails. Free admission to the park is included. Children, pets and strollers are welcome.
