Joey Batt to play in Minnesota all-star basketball game
NORTHFIELD — This Saturday at Carleton College, New Ulm High School’s Joey Batt joins the 40 other top senior girls’ basketball players at the Minnesota Girls’ Basketball All-Star Game.
Games are at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and tickets, good for both games, can be purchased at the door for $10 per adult, $5 per student. Tickets are free for kids 12 and under.
Batt, this past season’s All-Journal Player of the Year, ended her high school career as the top all-time scorer at NUHS and also the top scorer in the City of New Ulm with 2,301 points.
There will also be a free youth clinic for grades K-4th put on by the All-Stars and Minnesota’s Positive Coaching Alliance from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Carleton College’s West Gymnasium. Free shirts will go to the first 125 girls.
