ST. PETER -- St. Peter defeated New Ulm 8-7 on Thursday in a Bug South Conference baseball game.
Hunter Sehr went 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI for New Ulm. Jackson Bode went 1 for 3 with one run and one RBI and Jaden Domeier went 1 for 4 with one run and one RBI.
Braden Zimmerman took the loss, pitching two innings and allowing two hits, five runs and three walks.
New Ulm hosts Blue Earth Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Springfield 11, MVL 1,

SPRINGFIELD -- Springfield defeated Minnesota Valley Lutheran 11-1 on Thursday in a Tomahawk Conference baseball game in six innings.
Springfield's Mason Rummel went 1 for 3 with one run and two RBIs, Hunter Mathiowetz went 1 for 2 with two runs and one RBI and Isaac Fink went 1 for 3 with two runs and one RBI.
Henry Scheitel took the win as he pitched four innings with three strikeouts. He allowed five hits and one walk.
Teddy Giefer led MVL with a single and a walk, while Josh Giefer walked and scored MVL's only run.
The losing pitcher was Jace Marotz as he pitched three innings with three strikeouts and allowing three runs, six earned runs and three walks.
MVL plays at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther. Springfield plays at 5 p.m. on Tuesday ta Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.

SLEEPY EYE -- Sleepy Eye St. Mary's defeated Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop 7-6 on Thursday in a Tomahawk Conference baseball game.
St. Mary's Spencer Hoffman went 2 for 2 with a triple, Patrick Hoffmann went 1 for 1 with a double and two RBIs and Carson Domeier went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
Devon Schwarzrock went 2 for 4 with a triple for GFW.
St. Mary's plays at 5 p.m. on Friday at Lake Crystal/Wellcome Memorial. GFW plays at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Nicollet.

MOUNTAIN LAKE -- Mountain Lake Area defeated Madelia 17-1 on Thursday in a nonconference softball game in five innings.
Emily Stevensen had Madelia's only hit, while Brooke Lensing scored Madelia's only run.
Madelia plays at 4:15 p.m. on Friday at St. James.
