ST. PETER — St. Peter defeated New Ulm 86-50 on Friday in a Big South Conference boys’ basketball game.
New Ulm was led by Braden Zimmerman, who had 19 points and six rebounds. Reece Melby had 12 points and Caden Hames had 8 points and 10 rebounds.
New Ulm (3-12) hosts Sibley East at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Sleepy Eye 72, BLHS 47
SLEEPY EYE — Kegan Heiderscheidt led Sleepy Eye with 24 points and Jose Ibarra had 21 to lead the Indians past Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball game.
Ben Dornseif led BLHS with 12 points and Braden McColley had 11 points.
Sleepy Eye (5-10, 4-5) will play at St. Mary’s (3-13, 2-7) on Tuesday.

SLEEPY EYE — MACCRAY defeated Sleepy Eye St.Mary’s on Friday in a nonconference boys’ basketball game.
Nick Labat led the Knights with 27 points and Carson Domeier added 15 points.
St. Mary’s (3-13, 2-7) will host Sleepy Eye (5-10, 3-5) on Tuesday.
Mayer Lutheran 76, Sibley East 55
ARLINGTON — Mayer Lutheran topped Sibley East 76-55 on Friday night in boys’ basketball action.
Licas Dose led Sibley East with 15 points, while Lucas Tesch added 13 points.
Sibley East (3-13, 1-7) is at New Ulm on Monday.
Girls’ basketball
GFW 59, MVL 55
WINTHROP — Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop defeated Minnesota Valley Lutheran 59-55 on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
GFW’s Brynn Busse scored 15 points and Grace Swenson scored 13 points.
Lauren Paulsen had 12 points and 21 rebounds for MVL. Abbie Riederer had 10 points and Maddie Pearson had seven assists.
GFW (7-7) plays at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at Le Sueur-Henderson. MVL (11-6) plays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart.
Springfield 59, SESM 57
SPRINGFIELD — Sydney Hauger’s lay-up with six seconds left helped Springfield edge Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
Hauger led all scorers with 33 points and Meriah Kirschstein added 8 points for the Tigers.
Madison Mathiowetz led the Knights with 26 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Cassie Heinrichs added 14 points and Sydney Windschitl scored 10 points.
St. Mary’s ( ) will play at Sleepy Eye (5-12, 1-8) on Monday. Springfield (11-5, 7-11) will host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Tuesday.
BLHS 60, Sleepy Eye 45
HECTOR — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart downed Sleepy Eye on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
Maddie Wulkin led BLHS with 21 points and Sarah Kottke added 20 points.
Brittney Dittbenner led Sleepy Eye with 15 points while Madison Krueger and Paige Romberg each scored 11 points.
Sleepy Eye (5-12, 1-8) will host St. Mary’s (3-13, 2-7) on Monday. BLHS (7-9, 3-7) will host Minnesota Valley Lutheran (11-5, 7-1) on Tuesday.
Cedar Mountain 59, Madelia 46
MORGAN — Cedar Mountain defeated Madelia 59-47 on Friday in a nonconference girls’ basketball game.
Cedar Mountain was led by Trista Smith, who scored 22 points and Emma Schouvieller, who scored 17 points.
Madelia’s leading scorer was CaleyAnn Clobes, who scored 28 points. Clobes also had nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Cedar Mountain (3-13) hosts New Ulm Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madelia hosts Immanuel Lutheran at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Nicollet 63, Cleveland 50
CLEVELAND – Grace Dehen’s 29-point, six-rebound effort led Nicollet/Loyola to a 63-50 win on Friday night in girls’ basketball action.
Jill Thompson added 12 points and 17 rebounds for the Raiders.
Nicollet hosts Le Sueur- Henderson next Saturday.
