Ethan Schmidt, 12 years old of New Ulm, recently won two Minnesota Jr Golf Prep Tour events in the 10- to 12-year-old old division. The first came July, 14 in Spicer, Minnesota, at the Little Crow Golf Resort Oaks Course. Schmidt shot a +6 (42) and hung on to take first.
On July 29, Schmidt competed at the New Ulm Country Club. He shot a even par (36) to claim a 6-shot victory.
