MARSHALL -- Marshall Junior Legion downed Sleepy Eye Junior Legion 8-1 in a junior legion baseball game on Tuesday.
Brayden Heiderscheidt took the loss for Sleepy Eye, allowing eight runs, four earned, on five hits in three innings of work. At the plate, Adam Braulick had a hit, while Heiderscheidt scored a run.
Sleepy Eye hosts Harrisburg on Friday.
VFW BASEBALL
Marshall 3, Sleepy Eye 0
SPRINGFIELD -- Marshall VFW defeated Sleepy Eye VFW 9-8 in a VFW baseball game Tuesday.
Caleb Oscarson took the loss for Sleepy Eye, striking out six while allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits in five innings. At the plate, Adam Braulick was 2 for 3 for the only Sleepy Eye hits of the game.

New Prague defeated New Ulm Gold 5-4 in a legion baseball game on Monday.
Collin Forstner took the loss for New Ulm, striking out six while allowing one run on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. At the plate, Elliot Schabert was 3 for 5 with a run scored, while Jake Finstad and Kyle Albrecht each had a hit and an RBI. Parker Neubauer had a hit and a run scored.
New Ulm hosts Byron on Thursday.
