I met Aaron in 2019 while working at 3M and it was love from that moment on. Aaron was a one of a kind individual. He loved with his whole heart. His time was spent doing the things he loved most: Bible study, PC gaming with me, we loved playing Northguard for hours, we loved to swim and go kayaking. Aaron loved his two fur children (2 German shepherds) named Sheldon and Leonard. He worked so hard to put me through nursing school to become an RN. We loved watching horror movies and just spending time with each other; Aaron and I were each others best friends.

Aaron is survived by me, his loving wife and best friend Kortney (Schroeder) Gronau; his father Clint Gronau; his mom, Jean (Kaufenberg) Wood and step father Chris Wood; sister and brother in law, Melissa and Pete Kidrowski and nieces and nephew Alaina,Bella and Sam; by many aunts and uncles on both sides. He was preceded in death by two sisters in infancy; and his grandfather Roland Gronau.

Aaron cherished the word of the lord and lived his life accordingly. Before me Aaron graduated from Cedar Mountain high school class of 2009. He then went on to join the army reserves and did a tour in Iraq and Afghanistan for one year. He returned and went to college starting at MSU and finishing at SCC. His areas of study were electrical and mechanical engineering. He worked as a mechanic at Wiz pack in Mankato and then for the last 8 years was at 3M in New Ulm as a mechanic.
