at Meeting.

"Fore." Golfers and those interested in the pastime are to hold a meeting at the Commercial club rooms next Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock. The purpose of the meeting is to perfect a local permanent,= organization, if the interest is sufficient, and arrange for the acquiring or leasing of a suitable site for a golf course.
Enthusiasts Back of Move.
Local golf enthusiasts are back of the move and are getting restive as the season advances and no permanent course has been secured. Last year a large number of golfers' took advantage of North German park and "golfed" there, but this location is far too small and does not afford sufficient room for those, who enjoy the outdoor sport.
Last year there was some incentive to acquire a suitable location for a course, but the wintry blasts cut the program short. With the opening of spring, however, the interest in golf has revived and during the past several months enthusiasts have been boosting for a golf course near New Ulm.
Several Locations.
Several locations have been visited and if suitable arrangements can be made they can be secured under a long term lease, if the organization does not desire to purchase the property outright at this time.
It is expected to perfect an organization at the Monday evening meeting, elect officers and an executive committee and arrange for the securance of a site for links, if there is sufficient interest, in the innovation.
Courses in Nearby Cities.
Golf clubs have been organized at Mankato, Fairmont, Sleepy Eye, Springfield, Marshall, Redwood Falls and a number of nearby cities and the members are enjoying the sport. New Ulm enthusiasts are of the opinion if a club is organized that in the near future the membership will have increased to a number sufficient to support the course.
