RUTHTON — The Springfield Junior Legion Post 257 baseball team won twice in the elimination bracket Sunday to advance to Monday’s DII Junior Legion Southwest Sub-State Tournament finals. After defeating Slayton 8-2, Springfield capped off Sunday with a 5-1 win over Lake Crystal to earn a finals appearance against Sleepy Eye on Monday evening back in Ruthton.
