NEW ULM 37, WORTHINGTON 0

WORHTINGTON -- New Ulm rolled Worthington 37-0 in a South Central District, Red Subdistrict football game on Friday.

Owen Castleman had two passing touchdowns, one to Miles Castleman and another to Jayden Broste. Parker Ranweiler and Hunter Heil each had a rushing touchdown, and Kaden Stueber hit a 42-yard field goal. Defensively, Broste had two interceptions, while Landen Kapolczynski had an interception returned for a touchdown.

New Ulm (4-1) hosts TCU (4-1) on Friday.

RRC 46, CEDAR MOUNTAIN 16

LAMBERTON -- Red Rock Central rolled Cedar Mountain 46-16 in a Nine-player South District, West Subdistrict football game on Friday.

Jordan Therkilsen led the Falcons with 234 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries and 27 yards receiving on two catches, while Jonah Skarupa had 33 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

No statistics were reported for Cedar Mountain.

RRC (1-4) hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Friday, while Cedar Mountain (0-5) hosts Renville County West on Friday.

PREP VOLLEYBALL

SPRINGFIELD 3, RRC 2

LAMBERTON -- Springfield topped Red Rock Central 25-24, 25-19, 21-25, 22-25, 18-16 in a nonconference volleyball match on Friday.

Kendall Krueger led the Tigers with 14 kills and six digs, while Olivia Milbrath had 13 kills and two blocks. Belle Groebner had 30 digs, and Sophie Mude had 23 set assists and five digs. Faye Williams added 17 set assists and nine digs with three kills.

Natasha Erickson led the Falcons with 12 kills and 19 set assists, while Lilly Batalden and Paige Wondercheck each had seven kills. Amelia Ubl had 28 digs, and Kendra Schroeder had 21 digs.

Springfield (6-4) plays in a tournament at Nicollet on Saturday, while RRC (5-9) hosts Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Tuesday.
