HUTCHINSON -- New Ulm shut out Hutchinson/Glencoe-Silver Lake 6-0 on Monday night in a nonconference girls soccer game.
Jesalyn Skoglund scored the first three goals for New Ulm in the first 17 minutes of play, while Morgan Zimanski made it 4-0 three minutes after Skoglund's third goal. Skoglund scored her fourth goal of the night with four minutes left in the first half for a 5-0 New Ulm lead.
The Eagles were able to sub in many other players in the second half with the comfortable lead and got their lone goal of the second half from Kaitlyn Ries.
The Eagles moved to 9-1-2 with the win.

MCW 3, GFW 0
GIBBON -- Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop fell to Martin County West in straight sets on Monday as the Mavericks won 26-24, 25-21, 27-25 in a Tomhawk-Valley Conference crossover volleyball match.
Chloe Henrichs led GFW with 14 kills and 11 digs, while Kora Schwarzrock had eight kills and Kinley Bruns had 12 digs and an ace. Maren Kemles and Natalie Ahlbrecht added 12 and 11 set assists, respectively, while Brynn Caspers had six blocks, Lauren Schafer had four blocks and Kjerssa Jasinski had an ace.
GFW fell to 3-9 with the loss.
