1 min read

CLEVELAND -- Fifteen teams from the Tomahawk-Valley Conference gathered at Cleveland High School on Tuesday for a jamboree volleyball scrimmage together before the official start of the season.

While the games played did not count towards the season standings, the event marks the first real action many of the teams have had against other competition. Among the area teams represented were New Ulm Cathedral, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, Sleepy Eye, Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s, Madelia, Nicollet, Cedar Mountain, Springfield and Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart. Scrimmages began at 1 p.m. and continued until past 8 p.m., with each team participating in at least five 30-minute practice sessions.

Starting at /week.
